“Fight With Elegance” would like to extend an invitation to the community and all businesses to become a part of our fundraiser for breast cancer, helping to raise money for this “Noteworthy Cause”.
We will be holding our first outside benefit concert, on Saturday, July 11th, 2009. The event will be hosted by Elegantly Funky and 4th Street Brewing Company in Historic Downtown Gresham. Located on 4th Street Brewing Company’s back lot, 77 Northeast 4th street. The concert will be featuring Linda Hornbuckle, Soul Diva of the Northwest, also performing, Ruby Hill, their style a mix of relaxed rock, old school soul, and a touch of blues. Sit down, relax, and enjoy the nights entertainment and 4th Street Brewing Company’s beer and wine garden.
A night of music and bringing the community together for a cause that we are passionate about. Many of us have lost loved ones and friends to breast cancer, know survivors or maybe know someone fighting at this time. This event was created to help fight this indiscriminate disease.
Losing my mother to breast cancer was devastating. My husband loosing family members as well, we both felt the same passion to help those in need. Many women and men no longer have health insurance or the funds available to receive mammograms which in turn help with the early diagnosis of breast cancer. We feel that there is a tremendous need to provide these funds to our own community, helping those in our own backyard. For this reason “Fight With Elegance” was created to “Help Save A Life”. With fundraising and our teaming up with Snow Cap Community Charities and local imaging company it has made it possible to provide payment vouchers for mammograms.
